Prescription Diet Pills »

Before taking a prescription diet pill don’t sleep for 48 hours, spin around in circles like a four year-old trying to get dizzy, and then ram your head into a wall repeatedly.  This will help you mimic some of the side effects of Belviq, the newest FDA approved prescription diet pill.  And it’s not limited to Belviq, most FDA approved prescription diet pills come with a laundry list of potential side effects that would make even the most audacious risk taker reconsider.  Is potentially losing a little extra weight worth fatigue, nausea, migraines?  How about the even more severe side effects like heart failure that prescription diet pills are often associated with?

You might think that we are exaggerating over blowing the side effects out of proportion but we are really not.  Let’s take a look at an example from the official Belviq homepage:

•    Valvular heart disease: Some people taking medicines like BELVIQ have had heart valve problems. Call your doctor right away if you experience trouble breathing; swelling of the arms, legs, ankles, or feet; dizziness, fatigue, or weakness that will not go away; or fast or irregular heartbeat. Before taking BELVIQ, tell your doctor if you have or have had heart problems.
•    Changes in attention or memory: BELVIQ may slow your thinking. You should not drive a car or operate heavy equipment until you know how BELVIQ affects you.
Say what???  Slow my thinking?  We know how hard weight loss is, but please reconsider before taking a prescription diet pill.  You are simply risking your health for a diet pill that really isn’t all the effective.

Why do people put so much faith in the “FDA approved” prescription diet pill?  It seems like because they think it’s approved by the FDA and the prescribed by a doctor it automatically means it’s safe.  Unfortunately, that is most certainly not the case.

How effective are prescription diet pills?

So effective that many doctors won’t even prescribe them!  (http://www.newyorker.com/tech/elements/diet-drugs-work-why-wont-doctors-prescribe-them)  More and more research is showing that obesity isn’t a one size fits all disease and therefore diet pills are a one size fits all solution.  Doctors are very hesitant to prescribe one of the four approved diet pills because they know every body is different and every body reacts differently to diet pills.  This is something that we have been telling customers for years! (and we aren’t doctors and don’t pretend to be)  Even if one of these prescription diet pills does work they are only effective in reducing weight by 3% to 10%.  Not all that impressive considering the money that goes into them and potential side effects.

FDA approved vs Dietary supplement

Everything sold on EphedraOutlet is classified as a dietary supplement so there is much less FDA regulation, which can be a good and bad thing.  It’s good because the ulterior motives (aka making tons of money for big Pharma) of the FDA aren’t involved, but it can be bad because now we are relying on supplement manufacturers to be on the up and up.  Also, if the FDA wants to they can step and ban certain ingredients like they did when they stepped in and banned original ephedra alkaloids.  There are a lot of conspiracy theories around this banning and we will let you form your opinion, but original ephedra was better than any prescription diet pill that has ever been made.

So if you can’t trust the FDA and their approved prescription diet pills, and you can’t trust supplement manufacturers who can you trust?  We believe you can trust other people that are going through the same thing you are.  That is why we have tons of reviews posted on our website and try to create open dialog with our articles.  Don’t take it from us, don’t take it from the FDA, take it from your fellow person trying to lose weight or get a little boost from a diet pill.  All three products posted in our top 3 are highly rated diet pills that people love, we could post others up there that make us more money, but we want to give our customers what we think are the best!

Should I try a prescription diet pill

If it’s truly your last resort and you have tried everything else then you might want to see your doctor, but I truly believe most people can lose weight without sacrificing their health and well being with a prescription diet pill.  I also believe people can lose weight without taking any diet pill at all (pretty crazy statement coming from a site that sells diet pills!), but they can certainly give you a little boost during the 4-20 weeks it takes to get the body you want.  Prescription diet pills aren’t worth the money, have potentially side effects that range from annoying to dangerous, and aren’t nearly effective enough for the risk.  They aren’t better just because they are FDA approved which I think is the main thing people need to realize.

Many supporters of FDA prescription diet pills like to say that the health risks of obesity outweigh the health risks of taking a prescription diet pill.  That would be an accurate statement if we lived in a black hole or vacuum where those were the only two options.  Luckily for us, we have tons of different options and opportunities to change our lives and get healthy without taking prescription diet pills aka the lesser of two evils.

Prescription diet pill supporters are right about one thing though, obesity is dangerous!  If you have read this far then obviously you are either intrigued by prescription diet pills or you are in need of a life change to start losing weight.  First of all, it’s not easy.  Even if you do take prescription diet pills you still have to eat healthy and do a little exercise, otherwise they do NOTHING.  Does that sound familiar?  It’s the same thing we recommend in every article we write!  Eat healthy, exercise, and get an extra boost from an ephedra diet pill vs a prescription one.  You can start reading reviews now and find one that is recommended and worked for someone just like you.

It’s a double edged sword because obesity is dangerous and you are right for wanting to fix that, but prescription diet pills can be even more dangerous!  Leave a comment or email us and we would love to start you on your path to losing weight in a healthy manner without prescription diet pills.
